Stop Writing Alone

May 9, 2019

Conventions are a fantastic way to expand your writing community. This week host Nicole Rivera shares a mnemonic she developed to describe all of the power (and fun) she has found in conventions over the years: CLASS. CLASS stands for Connection, Learning, Admiration/Autographing, Self-Promotion, and SWAG! For each topic Nicole shares advice (and warnings!) about how to make the most of your convention experience from the planning stage all the way to what you bring home with you.

Special features of this episode: Background noises provided by Nicole’s five year old son who was home sick, but healthy enough to have some very active pretend play with his brand new Super Mario toys, and Nicole’s mother-in-law who was busy in the kitchen cooking dinner for the entire family (Nicole’s a lucky lady!).
